A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) may be requested for employment, residence, immigration, study or another official purpose in Serbia. Confirm the acceptable Indian PCC issuer, permitted certificate age and required format with the Serbian receiving authority before starting.
India and Serbia are Contracting Parties to the HCCH Apostille Convention. An apostille generally replaces the traditional diplomatic legalization chain for an eligible Indian public document used in Serbia. Acceptance of the PCC itself and any Serbian translation remains with the receiving authority.
Important: PCCs issued by Passport Seva/RPO, local police authorities and Indian missions abroad may not follow the same prior-verification route.
Processing depends on the PCC source, prior verification, submission channel and delivery. Fees should be quoted only after the document and Serbian requirements have been checked.
For general route information, see our PCC apostille service guide, or contact Abrodex for a document-specific review.
